Due to the expansion of our Emergency Housing provision, we are looking for a dedicated and caring Support Worker to join our team in Eastbourne. This is a people-focused role where you will spend meaningful time supporting residents, helping them move towards greater independence and stability.
About the role
Build supportive, encouraging relationships with residents in Emergency Housing
Provide practical help and day-to-day guidance
Carry out some administrative and organisational tasks
Work alongside staff, churches, and external agencies to deliver holistic support
About you
You’ll be someone who:
Has a heart for vulnerable people and a desire to serve others
Is in agreement with our Christian values and ethos
Can support individuals facing challenges such as: Poor mental health, Past offending, Recovery from drug or alcohol dependency
Demonstrates strong listening skills, empathy, and patience
Is flexible, willing to learn, and able to work as part of a growing team
