Across Eastbourne and Lewes, accessing the right support at the right time can make all the difference.
That’s why Kingdom Way Trust, in collaboration with Eastbourne and Lewes Borough Councils, has developed WayMaker — a free app designed to connect the homeless community with essential local services. WayMaker makes it simple. Open the app and you’ll find clear, easy-to-use map markers showing:
What support is available
When it’s available
Where to find it
How to get in touch
All without having to provide any personal information. Even without internet access, the app continues to work offline — ensuring vital information is always within reach.
But WayMaker goes further. It also has the capability to provide an emergency alert system during Severe Weather Emergency Protocol (SWEP) conditions, which will help people be made aware of how to access shelter when SWEP is activated.
While the app brings everything together in one place, it’s part of a wider toolkit. Updated printable maps and searchable online maps are also available, making sure no one is left without access.
