Vision
To provide a safe space where people can receive a welcome and support from a variety of organisations and agencies enabling them to progress positively on their journey through life.
Weekend Drop-In
The Weekend Drop-in for the homeless and street community currently runs on the 2nd and 4th weekends of each month at 'The Way', on Seaside Road
The Drop-in provides a safe place for guests to spend time, relax, be served refreshments, play games, read a newspaper, etc.
We'd love to be able to open every weekend, but need some more volunteers to enable that to happen.
Could you be involved as a volunteer?
There will be a supervisor on duty, supported by two volunteers. Volunteer shifts could run either for 3 hours (10.00am-1.00pm or 1.00-4.00pm).
We would be delighted to hear from you if you think you might like to help. If you'd like to chat it over, please do call Graham on 07484 152210 or email
Community Venue
The Way has various size rooms over 3 floors available for organisations and groups that offer community support and activities. It has facilities for serving refreshment and Wi-Fi. Available for one-off hire or regular bookings.
In addition to our own Weekend Drop-in, the building is used by Sanctuary for teaching English, Refugee Radio for a mental health support group, Keys for a recovery group and Warming Up the Homeless to serve a Sunday evening meal.
If your organisation is interested in using The Way, please contact us using the details below.
