We are delighted that the Weekend Drop-in is now open at The Way, initially on two weekends each month. The wonderful supervisors and team of volunteers are
providing a welcoming place to chat and find support as well as have a drink and a snack.
If you or someone you know would be interested in joining the team, please get in contact. With additional supervisors and volunteers we’ll be able to increase the number of times we can open.
Additional paid supervisor to cover Saturday shifts (currently 2 per month)
The Supervisor is responsible for the oversight of the volunteer team, the welfare of the guests and the general safe running of the centre. This role requires enthusiasm, empathy and an ability to organise and respond calmly to issues that may arise. The aim is to provide a warm, welcoming and safe place for those of the street community and others who are isolated or lonely, particularly over the weekend.
Experience working with this sector of the community is desirable and supervisory experience would be valuable. Training for the role will be given.
